Novel Polymer Solutions
NPS was founded by Anglo Scientific, the technology having been generated by the Stealth Program at QinetiQ. It has now grown out of the Anglo Scientific nest having at its CEO one of the founders and is well on the way to commercial success.
NPS is dedicated to developing its polymer technology into practical new products that provide real advantages to users. Based on either amide or quaternary ammonium chemistry, these novel polymers can be tailored to give a wide variety of properties, both surface and bulk, that enable them to be used in difficult and challenging applications. Examples include:
- Rigid, per-fluorinated versions that can mimic PTFE-based materials
- Self-plasticised versions for use in electrochemical membranes and electrolytes
- Coating versions to promote or hinder adhesion
